Prehnite Necklace - Natural Inclusions, Gold Accents

Prehnite has a soft translucency that makes the colour appear to come from within the stone. Across this necklace, pale green and subtle yellow tones are interrupted by dark needle-like inclusions, cloudy areas and almost clear sections. No two 8mm beads look exactly alike, giving the strand a naturally varied appearance rather than a perfectly uniform finish.

The necklace changes noticeably depending on what it is worn with. Against dark clothing, the translucent beads appear brighter and the black inclusions become more graphic; against pale fabrics, the overall effect is softer and more delicate. It also works beautifully with strong colours such as cobalt blue, cherry red or aubergine, where the cool green creates a fresh contrast. Its polished round shape suits simple necklines, but the varied internal patterns also make it interesting enough to wear with textured fabrics and understated prints.

Small Japanese Miyuki beads in Duracoat Galvanized Gold separate the prehnite stones, adding warmth and a precise rhythm without covering their natural details. Each bead has been arranged so that clearer, cloudier and more heavily included stones remain visible throughout the necklace. Handcrafted in Greece in a small batch, it is a piece shaped by the individuality of the material rather than by perfect repetition.
